“Healthy Habits” to kick-start your health and wellness goals for 2023
Coming this January, the Chamber launches “Healthy Habits” sponsored by Valley Professionals. This will feature promotions and highlights for the community to receive an incentive to kick-start their health and wellness goals for 2023.
The Health and Wellness Task Force under the See You in Terre Haute Community Plan just received the Healthy Communities Designation and developed an Action Plan that aims to improve health outcomes in Terre Haute-Vigo County. Josh Alsip, Director of Community Engagement says, “This was a 6-month process that involved many community organizations and a comprehensive assessment that looked at the availability of programs in all domains of health. The data showed that we can improve in the areas of nutrition, physical activity, and mental health.” Highlighting the community health-focused businesses and assets will help local residents navigate their personal wellness goals with a one-stop guide for nutrition, fitness, and well-being.The Healthy Habits promotion will run online with features via social media throughout the entire month of January.
