Dr. Carrie Ball, Interim Dean of the Bayh College of Education at Indiana State University, has been appointed by Indiana Governor Mike Braun to serve on the Indiana State Psychology Board, effective April 1 through March 31, 2030.
The appointment is significant as the Indiana State Psychology Board oversees professional standards for psychologists in the state. The board is responsible for setting licensure requirements, establishing application and examination standards, determining continuing education needs for licensed psychologists, and upholding a code of conduct. It also investigates complaints and conducts hearings when violations are reported.
Ball’s selection highlights her leadership in education and her commitment to maintaining high professional standards within psychology and related fields. As Interim Dean, she has contributed to preparing future educators and advancing programs focused on student achievement and community service.
