63 percent of applicants to the Indiana Institute of Technology were admitted for fall 2018

At the Indiana Institute of Technology, 67 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 67 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Fort Wayne enrolled 2,218 students in fall 2018, including 1,524 in undergraduate and 694 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

56 percent of undergraduates are residents of Indiana, and 39 percent are residents of other states. 5 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (48 percent) and Black or African American (17 percent).

The school admitted 63 percent of the 3,778 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 18 percent enrolled.
