Indiana State University recently issued the following announcement.

Student leader Jillian Pelikan receives Daniel J. Bradley Medal

Senior Jillian Grace Pelikan of Wheaton, Illinois is the recipient of Indiana State University's Daniel J. Bradley Medal for Leadership, Scholarship, and Service this semester.

The Bradley Medal, one of the highest honors given at Indiana State, is presented to a graduating student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and achievement in leadership, scholarship, and service as an undergraduate.

Pelikan is graduating with a bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. During her time at ISU, she was the President of the National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association, the Vice President of Philanthropy and Alumni Relations in the Student Philanthropy Organization, and a member of the volunteering organization, Alpha Phi Omega. She was a President's Scholar, an Honors Peer Mentor, and has worked at the Career Center as a Career Peer Advisor and in University Marketing as a Sycamore Ambassador.

"After graduation, I will be attending Purdue University in pursuit of my master's degree in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences," she said. "I hope to be a medical Speech-Language Pathologist, specializing in pediatric dysphagia."
