Sycamores announce 2022-23 swimming and diving schedule

Head Coach Josh Christensen and the Indiana State swimming and diving team released their upcoming 2022-23 schedule on Monday morning. The Sycamores will host four meets at the Vigo County Aquatic Center, while the road schedule features meets at Illinois, an MVC Quad Meet, and the U.S. Open and the Tim Welsh Invite.

Overall, the Sycamores schedule will feature the season-opening Blue/White Intraquad at the Vigo County Aquatic Center. ISU will also welcome Missouri State and Miami (Ohio) on November 4-5, the University of Indianapolis on December 3, and Southern Illinois and Ball State on January 14.

Indiana State will look to build off another strong season in 2021-22 as the Sycamores posted their fourth consecutive top-three finish at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships and set several records at the CSCAA National Invitational meet.

ISU's season-opening meet starts with the Blue/White Meet on September 30, before hitting the road for a pair of meets in October. The Sycamores will take on the University of Illinois on October 8, while traveling to Chicago, Ill. to take on Illinois Chicago, Northern Iowa, and Illinois State in a MVC Quad Meet on October 21-22.

The Sycamores return to the Vigo County Aquatic Center on November 4-5 for a tri-meet against Missouri State and Miami (Ohio). From there, the team will split up over the November 18-21 weekend with the swimmers heading to the Kansas Classic, while the diving team travels to the Purdue Invite.

All Indiana State qualifiers will travel to compete at the U.S. Open in Greensboro, N.C. over November 30-December 3. The Sycamores close out the 2022 portion of the schedule on December 3 in the Vigo County Aquatic Center hosting the University of Indianapolis.

ISU's final home meet of the 2022-23 season comes on January 14 as the Sycamores welcome Southern Illinois and Ball State for Senior Day.

The Sycamores wrap up the regular season on the road with trips to Illinois State (Jan. 21) and the Tim Welsh Invite in South Bend, Ind. (Jan. 27-28).

The 2023 MVC Swimming and Diving Championships will be held in Iowa City, Iowa and hosted by UNI over February 15-18.

ISU will close out the year on March 9-11 at the CSCAA National Invitational hosted in Elkhart, Ind.
