We understand that there have been calls being received by individuals posing as a relative in jail and needing the recipient to call the lawyer. Essentially, this is all just a scam attempting to get someone to send them money. Please be aware of scam calls like this and similar scenarios, and please do not share personal information or finances! If this happens to you, please contact the Sullivan City Police Department at 812-268-4353.
As scams do happen, we share this not to scare you, rather to simply alert you of the situation. Please remember to always double and triple check with family and friends when situations like these arise.
