78.3% of Parke County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 16,316 citizens living in Parke County in 2021, 78.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 12,767 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 5,921 were male, constituting 46.4%, and 6,846 were female, making up 53.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Parke County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.4%.
