90 percent of applicants to Indiana State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Indiana State University, 83 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Terre Haute enrolled 13,044 students in fall 2018, including 10,950 in undergraduate and 2,094 in graduate programs, data shows. 7.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

78 percent of undergraduates are residents of Indiana, and 20 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (66 percent) and Black or African American (18 percent).

The school admitted 90 percent of the 12,861 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 21 percent enrolled.
