Great Lakes League
Lima Locos
Matt Gauer and Diego Gines have been lighting it up for the Lima Locos over the summer nearing the midway point of the season.
Gauer has been among the league's leaders in multiple pitching categories sitting tied for the Great Lakes League with a 4-0 record on the mound, while sitting second in the league with 32 strikeouts and seventh in ERA (2.35). He's gone at least five innings in each of his last three starts, including a 7.0-inning, 11-strikeout performance on June 25 in a 9-3 win over the Sandusky Ice Haulers.
Gines has posted a pair of five-game hitting streaks over the season and added six multi-hit games so far this summer. He's scored in nine consecutive games and sits among the league leaders with three home runs while adding a .303 batting average on the season.
Michigan Monarchs
Tyler Nelson and Seth Gergely have been two of the key sluggers for the Michigan Monarchs this summer to pace the team on the season.
Nelson leads the Monarchs with a team-best 21 RBI, while adding seven doubles, two triples and 16 runs scored. Nelson also has drawn a team-best 18 walks and has been the team leader on the base paths with 10 stolen bases. He's posted two five-game hitting streaks with a pair of three-hit games early on the year, while adding four RBI on June 12 against Lima.
Gergely is tied for second on the team with 15 RBI on the summer and has added 12 runs scored and four stolen bases. He recorded a five-game hitting streak from June 25-30 and added four multi-hit games over the summer.
Prospect League
Rex Baseball
Jordan Schaffer and Aaron Beck have been among the REX's top players since joining the roster midway through the summer. Schaffer is hitting a team-best .426 from the plate with four doubles, a triple, and two home runs over 54 at-bats, while adding 11 RBI. Beck (.362) is third on the team over 16 games played with a pair of doubles and a triple while sitting among the team's leaders with a .474 on-base percentage.
On the mound, Jared Spencer (1-0) is tied for the team lead with five starts, while posting a 4.50 ERA over 26.0 innings pitched. He added 27 strikeouts over the first half of the season. Brennyn Cutts (2-0) is also among the team's win leaders with a 3.94 ERA over three appearances.
Cape Cod League
Wareham Gatemen
Matt Jachec continues to put up strong numbers for the Wareham Gatemen throughout his first four starts of the 2022 season. He is coming off his second consecutive 5.0+-inning outing this past week with 6.0-innings of three-hit ball coming on Monday in a 2-2 tie against Bourne. Jachec has struck out at least five batters in each of his last three starts and has a 3.50 ERA through 18.0 innings this summer.
Northwoods League
Mankato Moondogs
Sean Ross continues to rake as the outfielder sits among the Northwoods League leaders in multiple hitting categories on the year. He sits second in the NWL with a .397 batting average, second in RBI (32), and second in hits (46). He added a 5-for-5 game earlier this summer against St. Cloud on June 25, while adding a five-RBI contest on July 2 against Rochester.
Kenosha Kingfish
Parker Stinson has been among the team leaders in multiple offensive categories on the year as the outfielder boasts a .292 batting average with a team-high four home runs and 17 RBI through 31 games. Stinson has added a team-best 12 stolen bases on the year and added five doubles and two triples.
Luke Patzner has also posted a strong summer through six starts as the right-hander has gone 28.2 innings and posted a 2.51 ERA. He's gone at least four innings in all six of his outings on the year and picked up his first win in a 5.0-inning game against Traverse City back on June 14.
Ohio Valley League
Hoptown Hoppers
Aaron Moss has been among the Ohio Valley League's top relievers in the 2022 season as the left-hander sits among the league leaders in both appearances and saves. Moss is currently eighth in the league with 10 appearances and sixth overall in the league with two saves on the year. He picked up his second save of the summer in his most recent outing after allowing one hit while striking out three over 2.0 innings in a 4-1 win over Franklin.
